SONY PSP Launch
I supported the UK launch of the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP), one of the most anticipated gaming and technology releases of the decade. As a contracted Press Assistant, my role focused on media monitoring and supporting the PR team in ensuring the launch received extensive press coverage.
Press Monitoring & Reporting: Tracked media coverage across national newspapers, gaming publications, and online outlets, compiling press clippings and reports for internal use.
Media Asset Management: Assisted in distributing press materials, including images, fact sheets, and review units, ensuring journalists had the necessary resources for coverage.
Coverage Analysis: Helped assess the reach and impact of media placements, contributing to post-launch evaluations.
Played a key role in tracking and documenting the extensive media coverage that contributed to the PSP’s high-profile UK debut.
Supported the PR team in managing media materials and ensuring journalists had timely access to key assets, helping to maximise visibility.
Gained valuable experience in press monitoring and PR coordination within a high-profile consumer tech launch.
